☆ THE POETS AT THE CINEMA ☆

(this got really long bc i love them so much aahhhh i hope you enjoy these headcanons as much as i do-)

CHARLIE: his favourite genre is comedy, plus movies about outlaws and teen rebels, says "so me" all through the film. oh yeah he doesn't shut up ever, talks the whole time until someone tells him to please stop talking because the movie's more interesting than how he'd dress as a pirate. every time there's a kissing scene, he turns to the poet sitting next to him and wiggles his eyebrows with a smirk. a nightmare to clean up after, his popcorn ends up all over the floor and himself. BUT all this doesn't apply to emotional movies. if a movie is sad, charlie is silent the entire time, doesn't crack a joke once and comes out of it with half his popcorn left.

KNOX: cries when watching romance, tells the poets he's not crying!! just the dry air of the cinema getting to him. insists on taking pictures of them in front of the movie poster. has accidentally thrown his ticket away instead of the receipt on several occasions. if there are cardboard cut-outs of characters at the cinema, he needs to take pics with all of them. eats a strange mixture of snacks, popcorn, pretzels and ice cream. asks "whAT?" at least five times through the movie bc he can't follow the plot. really fun to watch a movie with because he'll audibly gasp at every plot twist. idk him at the cinema is really cute guys i swear.

PITTS: needs a toilet break three times throughout the movie (tall guy small bladder king). his legs get cramps from the rows being too narrow but he doesn't care, pittsie LOVES going to the cinema. will most often go with knox and meeks, they're the best film trio. knows loads of lore about all sci-fi movies they watch, and acts annoyed at people asking questions because OF COURSE ni-bo64 has to destroy Leobor. eats salty snacks and always chooses the biggest cup of soda (meeks points this out every time pittsie has to squeeze around him to go to the toilet). loudly shouts "YES" when something he approves of happens. is the best sport about charlie's smirks in kissing scenes, he just like puts his hand on charlie's thigh really slowly and mouths 'hi'.

MEEKS: really likes movies with a hidden message, is the only one charlie will watch emotional movies with. but also just a huge nerd, him and pittsie watch sci-fi stuff together and then talk about every plot point for an hour. ORANGE SODA. really big fan of good film music. can't sit still and always steals the arm rest. doesn't talk but says "WHAT??" way too loud when a plothole occurs or a thing he was hoping for doesn't happen. is the one to buy the tickets.

NEIL: loves the comfy velvet seats. always has half a breakdown about "omg maybe i should go into film instead of stage acting??" after seeing a movie he really likes. is a little movie nerd, especially for superhero movies! loves the moment of stepping out of the cinema into the fresh night air. his snack is sweet popcorn or gummy bears. gets so excited when something cool is about to happen, he's waving his arms and being like "oh- ooohhhh- oooohhhhhh" until the cool thing actually happens. makes sure everyone has their tickets (goes into airport dad mode). laughs a lot and looks around at all the poets like "did you see that??" as if they're not all watching the same movie.

TODD: too anxious to complain about sitting behind a tall person, he'll often try to sit on top of his balled-up jacket to be a bit taller and see enough of the screen. pitts notices after a while and is like "hey todd, could we swap seats? i'd love to sit next to knox". todd only realises what that was about a few hours later and is silently soo grateful for pitts not embarrassing him. likes artsy movies where not a lot happens, and LOVES reruns bc then he already knows the plot and can relax. doesn't ever talk throughout the movie but laughs SO MUCH. mouths the lines when he already knows a movie. when there's a kissing scene he'll get embarrassed. doesn't buy snacks cos they're "too loud" and then eats all the other poets' snacks. every time. likes watching the ads before the movie.

CAMERON: asks "does anyone need to go to the bathroom before the movie starts" like fifty times before they watch the movie. hates sitting next to strangers during the movie because then he's always hyper aware of his behaviour and can't really focus on the film. likes historical movies and will watch them with todd (no one can tell me todd/cameron friendship isn't real, it makes so much sense). salty popcorn kinda guy. knows the names of all the actors and actresses.

DCRC Week 1

im gonna post notes/reactions for each chapter :). i have read some chapters of duck avenger before, but i dont really remember them clearly and i didnt get very far. so im glad for this opportunity!

right away im remembering why i dropped PK the first time; im not really into science fiction (the ones ive read and enjoyed most recently are Jekyll and Hyde, and the Invisible Man, which are very different LOL)

i think i read it too fast last time, so hopefully reading a chapter weekly will help me in processing it.

Fresh: Maybe? but if it's either Love or Setsuna it doesn't matter at all and this man is completely irrelevant and gets mentioned once before they forget he exists which is funny like why mention him at all

Heartcatch: idk but Erika doesn't get married she just alludes to having a lot of boyfriends and none of them are serious. Tsubomi probably scolds her for this. Yuri gets confessions that she ignores and I can see Itsuki mentioning handsome guys but she's not dating anyone

Suite: no lol there's no room for men in this one at all like even an offscreen unimportant man can't worm his way into being mentioned. Kanade might talk about a handsome guy she met but like it's not a relationship he's just good looking.

Smile: Miyuki i can see having a kid, Yayoi could have an offscreen husband, Reika gets confessions that she turns down or straight up misinterprets but she's staying single. Nao is giving "i wish i could find a cool man" energy and i could see her having kids even later in the future but for now she's single. I believe in true love so Akane and Brian end up getting together during the story

Doki: Mana stays single but mentions wanting to be married and meet the right person but this isn't a plot point she just mentions it and she's perfectly happy single, Rikka vows celibacy because she's still in love with Mana for some mysterious reason. Alice... maybe she has an arranged thing... I could see her dating a lot of people unseriously but that's it she's not actually married though and probably breaks off the arrangement. Makopi lmaoo no she's got a job she doesn't care about that right now. Aguri I could see being randomly married/engaged tho lmao

Hacha: I believe in true love and Megumi and Seiji end up getting together during the story but NOT before i would be unhappy if it was off screen. Hime? no unless it's the alternate she gets with Seiji instead ending in my head but otherwise she's giving "dates a lot of handsome guys but none of them are her prince charming" energy. Iona... nah i don't see her caring either lol. Yuyu has "married in the sequel with a kid" energy though.

GoPri: I don't really see any of them getting married off screen but maybe Haruka mentions wanting to and that she just hasn't found the right guy. Wait Yui is married though like she's the one i see being randomly straight married lol

Maho Girls: LMAO NO. Mirai and Riko are self explanatory there's no room for men here so they just leave them as "gal pals". but nobody is good enough for Haa who is a goddess and Mofu is a teddy bear :3. like maybe? she gets teddy bear married? ? which would be funny

Kirapre: lmao no absolutely not. Cute guys might be mentioned, and maybe Ciel has dated a few of them, but otherwise nobody is het married here they're serving more ChocoMaca romantic tension

Hug: we literally know Hana gets married but i think they would never show the guys face. Also Homare is still single, Emiru is a rockstar and doesn't have time for that, and Saaya has a guy at work who's really into her and everyone keeps saying shit like ooohhhh so and so seems into you ;) and she either gives him a chance and decides she's not into him or just turns him down right off the bat because she's busy with work

Star Twinkle: Elena has married with kids energy, Madoka feels like her family would try to pressure her into a marriage but she's ultimately standing firm that she'll do it when she's ready. Lala is an adult on her planet if she was going to be married she already would be lsknfosijfrw, Hikaru doesn't care about it and is perfectly happy single. Yuni has like 3 kids she's not married they're just Rascals that started following her around and she can't get rid of them, when characters talk about the struggles of motherhood she's involved in this because she adopted these kids at this point.

Healin good: uhhhh I can see Nodoka being married with a kid idrc. Hinata dates guys but doesn't get married. Chiyu has guys crushing on her but she turns them all down, and Asumi gets frequent confessions but she doesn't know what the fuck is going on and misinterprets them in various comedic ways

Tropical Rouge: the thing here is i think nobody here is getting married at all. Asuka is also already divorced, she still has that weird exes thing with her ex-not-wife

Delipa: i didn't really watch this idk maybe Yui marries Takumi tho

Hero Girl: Nobody in this one is giving married energy either like Elle is probably still dreaming of marriage now that she knows what marriage actually means. Maybe Mashiron mentions wanting a husband though

Wonderful: Iroha and Satoru are married duh but also Mayu mentions wanting to find Mr Right and get married and gets a guy pining for her but they ultimately can't be together anyways cuz he's not that into cats which is a deal breaker but it's like Mayu is more just in love with love anyways so it's fine. Komugi is still a doggy dog and doesn't understand so she asks what marriage means and they tell her it means when you love someone a lot you vow to be with them forever and Komugi proudly proclaims that she's married to Iroha

1: Anything on rosie or rebecca?: I got some stuff! I'll do Rosie first. Just like the series, she's got a little crush on Thomas when she's younger and Thomas isn't having it. Lol. She is a tomboy, but still enjoys girly stuff too. As she gets older, she grows out of her childhood crush and her and Thomas remain good friends. She matures into quite a graceful, strong, and respectable lady. Unfortunately, I don't have a design or much info for her yet. But hopefully soon!

Then we have Rebecca! She's definitely interesting! I based her design off frilled lizards and sunflowers! She's the youngest out of the female characters! Probably just in her teenage years!

Rebecca crash landed on the island and claimed that she was traveling with her clan there. She waited for days for them to show up. But they never came. Now, Thomas and his family couldn't possibly let such a sweet dragon get abandoned like this. So they let her into their clan! Rebecca shockingly got very attached to Gordon. And vise versa. He becomes a father figure to her. (In fact, he ends up adopting her eventually!) Rebecca reminded him of his younger sisters whom he loved.

2: How about anything of the narrow gauge engines (they're my favs) like proteus, luke or stanley/smudger? Who’s your fav?: I love them and they definitely in here! They're the Mountain Cave Clan! A clan of small ground dwelling dragons! With Skarloey as their Patriarch! There's tons of them! From well known characters like Duncan, Peter Sam, and Rheneas, to obscure extended family! And Proteus is actually their guardian spirit! I'm still figuring out his role and powers, but just like in the series, if you can find his lamp, it will grant you a wish! But you have to pass a series of trials and tests to even get your hands on it! (Oh, and Luke was my favorite when I was a kid! I loved him!)

3: Are ya gotta add any aeg characters like bruno, sandy or kana? Kana’s gotta be a speedy queen: I think so actually! I've seen a lot of AUs with Bruno as Henrietta and Toby's kid and OH MY GOSH YES. That's adorable.😍 And Kana is definitely there! She's Kenji's little sister in this! I'm not sure about Sandy yet. But she seems cute. So maybe!

So, Mai wants to be a counselor because she's spent so much time listening to Rinko rant and ramble about different theories since she and Maki first moved in with her. They helped keep Rinko sane while she worked on her Dissertation, so Mai has quite the leg up going in 😂

Honestly, I haven't really figured out what Maki wants to do yet 🤔 I could see her going into medicine somehow, or possibly teaching/coaching! But again, not super sure.

During middle/high school:

Maki was on the Kendo team! It's how she met Yuuta 👀 She was the girl's captain and he became the boy's captain when he transferred to their school 👀 they were in different classes. He became fast friends with Toge, and so when he started hanging out with Maki, obviously Mai was there, and Toge tagged along, SO IT WAS JUST REALLY FUCKIN CUTE. THEY HAD CUTE LIL DOUBLE DATES AND RINKO JUST ABOUT DIED FROM HOW SWEET IT WAS.

Mai played soccer through middle and high school, like in Before I Love You! She also knows JSL(they all do now, actually) because Toge is deaf in Physical Paradox, and she learned because she wanted to be able to communicate with him 🥹

They're both in clubs in college, but they're not as competitive anymore.

Hmmmm for hobbies??? 🤔🤔 I could see one of them being into photography or drawing; I feel like Toge is probably a good artist?

OOOHHHH I was thinking about this vaguely and decided I didn't want to figure it out at the moment lol. I could honestly see it going several different ways because I am indecisive as all heck hahaha.

Firstly, Luke decides to just GO FOR IT and asks Apollo to marry him. (In my brain their base is this one where the Professor mistook them for marrieds and so. It just makes sense. To make that a reality. He loves Apollo so so much and they have practically been married ever since Apollo moved to London to help him anyway, taking this leap for real is the next best step!!) But also Luke has just as much impulsiveness as Apollo, so it would make sense for him to get there first.

Alternatively, Apollo ends up proposing first and takes Luke completely by surprise!! (My idea for Apollo proposing is always that he ends up in some sort of situation where he just like, admits that he wants to spend the rest of his life with the one he loves. Not being one to say anything he doesn't really mean, he just then decides. Fuck it, proposal time.) Apollo proposal cannot be planned lol because if he did anything to plan then it would be a disaster. Also I live for the spontaneous realisation of "oh I want to legally bind myself to him because I really love him wow" hahaha

CHAOTIC OPTION, they're both trying to propose at the same time. Make it a real comedy of errors, as is the only natural Ace Attorney way lol. Apollo tried to follow some advice he got but his plans keep going sideways while Luke's own plan keeps getting side-stepped by Apollo's and they're both getting flustered because WHAT IS HAPPENING hahaha. This either resolves with one of them getting fed up and blurting it out or both of them going for it at the same time and then just laughing at one another. Silly and cute!!

ooohhhh hello iris!! im glad i could catch you/respond to this before your trip passed lol anyways here's my two cents from known chicago tumblrina ellian pendraegon. here are theeee chicago sights and sounds and places to be and see:

okay im gonna split this upon into attractions and then food. attractions wise:

obvi there's the riverwalk and that's always fun just to see what people are milling around and there's food and open bars and what not but i really really like taking people on the architectural boat tour! it's about an hour or so on the river and then briefly goes out into lake michigan (chilly so make sure you bring a sweater bc lake michigan winds are no fucking joke but it might be 90 million degrees by late june so it'll probably be refreshing lol) and then back. ive taken lots of people on this one and all the commentators always do a fabulous job and also you get really really good pics from the water lol.

i think a classic one is going to the observation deck of the sears tower! there's a ton of museums here: the art institute (my personal fave, went there recently with tori and there's an awesome van gogh exhibit right now), the field museum, the museum of science and industry, the museum of contemporary art, the planetarium, the aquarium — they're kinda expensive bc they keep hiking their prices (even for in state residents like ????? why is it so fucking much). but i would def recommend getting a day pass or a week pass that already includes the cost of admission to one of these (WAY cheaper) or you should check if one of their free admission days lines up with when you're here bc im pretty sure all of them do a couple free admission days per month... all of these museums are situated around the same area so if you want to have a giant day of museum hopping you might as well lol

you know what's free though? the ZOO. well there's two zoos, lincoln park and brookfield. the lincoln park zoo is the free one and it's personally my favorite (still think you gotta pay for parking though but i dont remember). make sure to go see the okapis they're totallyyyy cute if you go!

these two are not free but they have some days of free admission or days where the admission price is less than the usual fare: the botanic gardens and the arboretum. both are technically not in chicago, the botanic gardens are in glencoe and the arboretum is in lisle (the gardens are closer tho) so you'll need a car to get there!

also like. i guess you can hang around millenium park? see the bean? make fun of it? OH. and a walk along lake michigan/drive through lake shore drive<3

here’s some food places i’d rec:

there’s noooo way you’re gonna be in chicago without having deep dish pizza 🍕🍕my personal favorite place is lou malnati’s (the lou’s is my FAVORITE with the house salad? Chef’s fucking kiss, taste of chicago BABEYYY) although giordano’s is also really good. I personally don’t care for uno’s 🤷🏻🤷🏻

in terms of hot dog places, my fave is gene and jude’s but that one’s a bit out of chicago. Portillo’s is kinda everywhere and what i’d recommend rather than like superdawg or charcoal delight’s lol

if you’re in uptown and looking for a good korean place: chosunok. Ask for their chadolbaegi and mulnaengmyeon. It’s supppeeeeerrrr busy and make sure to wear slightly dirty clothes bc your clothes WILL smell bc there’s not much air circulation lol likewise if you’re in uptown and want some kabobs i’d say go for kabobi or noon-o-kabab. a coffeeshop i really like around here is oromo cafe (turkish coffee, if you like rose flavored things and vegan drinks this is ur spot lol) not really a restaurant but you can drop by joong boo market and get the best giant wang dumplings on this side of the earth so 👍

umm if youre hanging around millenium park and the museums, i really like goddess and the baker! SUPER delicious drinks and food although there’s not much seating. there’s a small cafe by the art institute called hero coffee that’s nice but there’s not any seating lol

I personally find it cute how a single detail in his design was enough for people to theorize it. And i also love it when the idea of Rhys being a siren also ties to him being a trans man. Not to mention all the tasty moments he and Jack would have! If Rhys had any siren power, I kinda think it would be phase-shifting or something entirely new… Like healing!!!! That way if makes his sun markings more fitting!!1!1! I’m rambling- That’s because this au always fascinates me! I always hated the ‘there’s only 6 sirens’ rule so i get giddy when people have fun and make more sirens. I think more people should do that more offen as self indulgence or they wanna expand the BL setting.

A Lullaby for a Princess by @wouldyoustilllovemeifiwasawyrm -- Link and Zelda marry post!TotK after rapidly getting pregnant. There are a lot of really intense emotions in this piece and I love to see a bit of a darker look at post!Upheaval Hyrule. Link and Zelda each have my entire heart. They're such complicated people.

Two wonderful fics by @shameless-fujoshi. The Cage -- a Modern Zelink AU where Link is a cage fighter -- and Pride and Prejudice -- which has yet to arrive but is another very exciting modern AU. Firefighter!Link and Professor!Zelda.

And I'm nearly through A Couple of Trials by @kenlair -- which is part two of an incredibly ambitious story that aims at telling the story of post!BotW Zelink, eventually tracing it through ToTK, and relies heavily on elements that are already in game. No OC's -- every character and element has game/lore basis and it's really cool to see.
